Question How much does it normally cost to get a ring resized

I was wondering if any one knew a around about price on getting a ring re sized

A while back my mom gave me one of my grandma's rings (she died several years ago)

it is a very small ring either size 6 or 7 I can't recall off the top of my head

it's black hills gold - not even sure if it can be sized up to my size (which is like a 11)

but I was just wondering if any one knew a about how much it cost to get one re sized

in the U.S. of course

But I'd love to wear it but its just too small

It just depends upon the place that you take it to, it could cost up to $50, or so!

Depends, if you have to get it made bigger you will need more gold so as well as re-sizing /shaping it you would have to pay for the extra metal of course, could be costly..I would not like to guess but maybe around $100-150??

Depends on the place, type of ring, size jump, etc. Just take it to a jewler and ask for an estimate.

You could always wear it on a chain. I don't remember how much it cost to get my engagement ring re sized. But it was made smaller not bigger.

I never thought of that Don't know why that's where I wore my kids dads class ring for almost 8 years ,

I'll have to go out and get a gold chain, prob. be cheaper then getting it sized

To get it resized UP may not work for that great a difference in sizes. Only a jeweler can tell you for sure. I've had several rings resized and it, generally, cost $25.00 per size graduation. As it turns out, since I've retired and quit working with my hands so much, my hands have gotten smaller and the resized rings are now too large. Oh, well.
