Nice to hear from you again! Yeah, the budgies are now with St Debbie. The rabbits are still with me. It's like living in a war zone in my house, so the budgies are far better off. All I've got now is Fudge the dog and the 2 bunnies. It's been a very difficult time. How are you doing?

Okay, I will quarantine the new fish as long as possible. The little guy is still doing fine, also. Thanks for all of the wonderful help! I know a lot more about my tank now and can make it the best for my fish. :)

Would it be okay for just one day? I don't really have a setup place I could keep it.

Yeah, that was what I was talking about. Okay, good to know. Also, one more thing. How long should I quarantine a new fish?

Okay, glad the flakes will be good. The filter and a bubble thing that I have are supposed to help the ammonia and nitrites go down, so this is good, right? I saw some products at Petsmart today that were supposed to help with the ammonia and nitrites, should I get one of these, do they actually work? I will keep an eye on the little guy and see how he does the next couple of days.

Also, am I correct in this statement? Is the tank done cycling when the ammonia and nitrites are down to zero? My neon seems to be having no problems right now, he is swimming and acting normal. More active that usual, actually. Is this a good sign?

Right now I can't find any of the water testing kits around me so would it be okay for now to just take it in to Petsmart and get is tested? If so, how long should I wait before I take the water in to test?

Okay, sounds good. So do I always need to be testing the water even after the first cycle is done? Will the fish be fine in the tank now since it has been running for a day and a half? Lastly, I never did really find out how long I have to wait to get more fish, what is a number of days that I would wait?

    Sorry for all the questions.

Where could I find one of the test kits?

So it would be easier to just keep one guppy? If I were to stick with one Guppy and buy a couple more neons then what are some other kinds of fish I could put in with them? A Clownfish?

Thanks so much! I don't have a testing kit but there was a lady at Petsmart who told me that I can bring in a sample of my tank water and they will test it for free. Should I wait a month and then bring in a sample of water to test? Also, when I get more fish is there a chance that they might breed when I don't want them to or do they need something certain that they need to breed?

Thanks so much for the help that you have given me regarding my fish tank. I am not very experienced with fish or tanks and was wondering if you would be willing to help me if I have questions?

    Thanks.
