I had wondered this for a while, and finally tried to look it up today, but I couldn't get a definitive answer... The first site I went to said they have 14 chromosomes, the second site said 24, the third said 26, and so did the fourth, then the fifth said 14 again! So here I am, wondering how many chromosomes budgies really have.
