Anthracties are a very new and very rare mutation, first produced in Germany in 1998. A single Anthracite factor acts much like a dark factor, for example a Sky Blue single factor Anthracite would look like a Coblat Blue, with black cheek patches, but a double factor Anthracite is black or very very dark grey with black cheek patches. In green birds, a Light Green single factor Anthracite would look a little darker than a Dark Green, and A Light Green double factor Anthracite would look a little Darker than an Olive Green.
In the 1930s, a mutation called the English Grey appeared, in England, but was thought to be lost shortly after, however it has been determined that the English Grey and Anthracite mutations are the same.
