I'm so sorry to hear this.

Generally when a budgie dies so unexpectedly it is because of a stroke or heart-attack but the only way to know for sure is to have a necropsy done.

Since Megatron was happily playing earlier today, the chance that he was overly stressed due to being separated from from Bumblebee is very unlikely.

I agree with Wiki that the birds have been together long enough that I see no reason to quarantine Jedi.

You have my deepest sympathy -- I know how hard it is to lose one of our beloved budgies.

Fly high and free darling Megatron; rest peacefully now wee boy.
