I'm SO glad to hear that your boss is willing to allow you to keep your budgies at the clinic for now.
It would be good to do something nice for your boss to show how much it means to you that she's allowing you to keep them there. Something simple -- a nice thank you card... a gift card for a favorite coffee shop or flowers or something small but meaningful -- just a gesture of appreciation from you will mean a lot to her.
