Jimmy does the same thing. He flits from perch to perch chirping loudly. And even when he is out of his cage, he has a bit if time where he perches, flies a certain route in the room, lands, chirps once and does it again.
And he'll repeat that for some time until he's decided he's had enough.

He'll sometimes do it with extra loud chirps too. I guess it depends on the mood he's in.
