I had the box in there when there was only females, I was pretty confident that he was a male, I just wanted a second opinion just to make sure. I kept the egg box in since they play in it and sleep in there often I was planning on taking it out once the male reached maturity. If they like the box, their eggs are infertile, and he cannot fertilize the eggs yet, what's the point of removing the box?
Also, the egg box won't make much of a difference of egg laying, before the box she dropped two eggs and they smashed at the cage bottom. I'm not planning on breeding, I just put it in there for curiosity and they like it.
