The purpose of this forum is to promote best practices for the health and well-being of budgies.

Having a nest box in a cage when you have a female encourages breeding. You need to remove the nest box immediately for the well-being of your budgies. Laying eggs, even if unfertile, takes a toll on the budgies' body and depletes its calcium levels.

Please follow the advice given and remove the nestbox.
