It's not that I don't want them to wreck it, it's that I don't want them doing things like chewing the cables of my consoles and electrocuting themselves, or going right through to the non safe wood if I do just use the ready made one as a base. As for having one made, there's nobody around here who does that. I'd have to do it myself either way. Just adding a play area wouldn't be enough if they decide they want to try the cables or something. It'd also be easier to use a base instead of making it from scratch, and as for putting the wood over in the first place, I would be adding screws anyway so it's not just held together with wood pegs so why not just put a few other layers on at the same time? Thanks for the safe wood/paint.
