Cuttlebones and Mineral Blocks/Manu Clay Roses


Cuttlebones are a good source of calcium which is needed for a healthy and happy budgie

A cuttlebone (and mineral block) should be in every budgies' cage at all times.

Birds will actually only ingest parts of their cuttlebone and mineral block when their bodies need those particular vitamins and minerals. Because of this, you may not see your budgie(s) chew on their cuttlebone for days, weeks or even months at a time.

(Some budgies also like to chew on their cuttlebones but drop the particles rather than eating them.
In essence, using it like a chew or shredder toy.)

A balanced diet including pellets, a good quality seed mix, vegetables, occasional fruit and egg food will contribute to a healthy and happy budgie.
