She's a very sweet little girl.
Is she eating well on her own or does she need supplemental feedings?
The following is directed to all members:
Breeders really should not release budgies until they are a minimum of 8 weeks old.
It is important the babies have time with their Dad and siblings to learn to "be budgies".
Additionally, ensuring the chicks have been eating on their own for a minimum of two weeks before releasing them helps to prevent regression.
Percy was hand reared by the breeder from the age of about 2 weeks old.I carried on hand feeding her a varied diet of baby budgie food, seed as well as fruits and veggies as I wanted to make sure she was eating and getting the right nutrition. It took a couple fo days to get her into the swing of things, but now she eats incredibly well all on her own! [emoji4]
I'm glad to hear you were providing Percy with healthy nutritious supplemental feedings and that she is doing well.
I hope Percy was also given the opportunity to socialize with the other budgies including the adult Male when at the breeder's, in order to learn how to be a bird.
Best wishes with your precious new little girl!
