Hiya! My two budgies ( Ringo and Cheddar, 10 months old) are pretty happy babies and I am pretty sure we spoil them! ( who doesnít?!)
We recently have decided to take our babies off of vitamin supplements as they are eating chop quite regularly, but want to ensure they have enough vitamin D to stay happy and healthy.
I live in Michigan however and have been thinking more and more about lighting since they have been so happy recently to go outside and get so much natural light. ( our apartment in winter months can be a bit dark so we do have regular lights on timers for them).
Itís seems the more I read the opinions online, the more confused I get, so I thought this forum would be a good place to ask. I did see a brief post but couldnít find too much for beginners here. Did I miss something?
If not,
What do you do for lighting?
Do you think it works?
Please be specific as possible.
Thank you in advance from a Cheddar, Ringo, and Fugulove. 😉

A little summer sun....for your viewing pleasure.
