The purpose of Talk Budgies is to promote the *best practices* for the health and well-being of budgies.

We do not condone colony breeding due to the inherent risks and dangers.

Individual Breeding Cages - Why They Are SO Important

If you've read the many Budgie Articles and Stickies throughout Talk Budgies, you'll know that Cotton Rope is dangerous (as RavensGryf indicated) both because birds can get their toenails stuck in the fibers as well as the fact that ingestion of the fibers can lead to crop impaction.

Dangers of Fabric

If you have not taken the time to read all of the Budgie Articles and Stickies throughout the forum, I strongly recommend you do so.

There is a wealth of information here right at your fingertips.
