So I guess the pied male is split for opaline?

If only the dad has the opaline gene and the mom is not opaline then all opalines are female.

I think with your pair you had the chances to get opaline females, pied females (any combination of the two) pied males and pied males split for opaline.

So I'm not sure if your male is split for opaline or not. I think there's a 50% chance that he is.

Like I said before I'm not expert but I think that's how it goes and I better leave it at that or I'll get myself all confused lol

You have a very cute clutch of budgies
