Thank you! Haha I do feel like I have too much on my plate sometimes, but it's just a busy time in my life right now. My dad's a doctor so he makes sure I get plenty of sleep
Today would have been my grandpa's birthday so I am grateful I was able to finish this special piece in honor of that. I miss him so much, but I'm happy I have the opportunity to show others how much he meant and continues to mean to me through art. One down...7 more to go! I'll send the completed 8 pieces in for a scholarship, but the deadline is quickly approaching.
Feel like I'm going to gain a lot of knowledge about human anatomy...
My goal was to show the love and humor he always displayed...studying every detail about him for this piece has been hard for sure, but I also feel like I'm reviving my memories of him if that makes sense.

Finished. Some of the significance of this piece: I'm holding my hand over his heart, which is all I wish I could do right now. He's wearing his favorite shirt, which says "Instant Human, Just add coffee." Of course, the outsider wouldn't be able to decipher that since most of the text is covered, but you can see the word "coffee" which is probably the most important part. He was a coffee lover, like me. Hopefully going to start on piece 2/8 tomorrow
