WOW!! That is truly spectacular talent Emma. As I always say... your charcoal drawings are about as good as they can get! You should enter some sort of competition.
What color does charcoal come in? I did that one piece in art class years ago, but I never knew too much about it. I love the blending of dark and light. The contrast really makes it pop. It looks like a photo!
Emma, those are totally fantastic! You are a very skilled artist indeed
Thanks ladies.

For this one, I just used black and white charcoal, but you can get black i light, medium and dark to give the extra depth and realism.
You can also get tinted charcoal which I use frequently and my friend gave me some pastels as well which I use if I do a coloured piece.
For any section that needs a 'pop' with the light, I use a white gel pen. It also helps to use tinted paper so that when you do anything with the white charcoal, it instantly gives it extra whiteness.
You should give yourself more credit, you are very talented! I love that you are sharing your art work here. Being consistent with my art is hard for me. It's been a long time since i've drawn and the deterioration in skill happens quickly. I think its great that you're trying to do stuff every week. Will be following your thread
