Default Bickering budgies

Ever since I got Riesling these two have been inseparable. Chardonnay always follows Ries around, they preen each other, chatter, all of those friendly budgie behaviours. It's just food.

Every time Chardonnay is eating and Riesling wants some food, she claws and bites him. And if I try to separate them, to let Char eat, he just attempts to break out of the cage just to be with Ries, doesn't pay attention to the food. Right now they're cuddling but the minute I take Riesling out of the cage he flies out. If I take him out he just goes back in to be with his partner. I don't know what to do!

How large is the cage the two of them are sharing?
How many food dishes are in the cage currently?
How many water dishes are in the cage currently?

Cage looks like this https://m.imgur.com/LrW8u1P one water and one food bowl.
Actually as I'm typing this char is eating and Ries isn't bothering him about it. I guess it matters if she's hungry or not.

Edit: now Chardonnay is regurgitating in the other's mouth. Is this normal?

Actually, in a cage with more than one bird, there should be a food and water bowl for each budgie Even if it seems they get along (which Ries and Char don't seem to be doing most of the time), it's good to have the extra resources to prevent bickering.

Also, after some research, I found that the cage you are housing them in is 19.7" X 11.8" X 18.9", which is barely big enough for one budgie. I would get them a new cage as soon as possible (minimum dimensions 18" X 18" X 30"), as without the space for each of them to get a little private time then their bickering will only get worse and eventually you may have to house them separately.

If you are willing to give your budgies a flight cage with a lot of space (larger than the minimum cage size for two budgies) then this sale for the Prevue Hendryx F040 Flight Cage is worth looking at, only $84 at PetCo!

Be sure to let us know when your budgies have their new cage and accommodations! I hope it's soon, so they can continue to live happy and contented

Yes! I'm going tomorrow to the pet shop to buy a larger cage, as well as extra accommodations for the two.

Cage update: it's not much, but I decided to buy a second cage, as there were no really large cages available, this one is 26x13x20. Due to this one not being too big I decided to house them seperately. Now they both their their own food bowl and I can feed Riesling just enough not to hog food for 2! I hope this is at least a bit better until I find a way bigger cage!

Nat that is wonderful, the separate living quarters will be a huge benefit I am sure. they can still interact with each other out of cage time. Now they can both eat and sleep when and where they like.
