. I've always loved watching my wild birds bathe. This was so much fun!
Biz sounds like he has a fun personality! It's funny that he changes his mind and stops his bath
. Silly birdie- what changed? It was safe a minute go, and now it's not! It's always amazing to me how much individuality these tiny guys have. Big personality, tiny package!
That's what Biz did re. pecking at the stream. For a long time he was scared of the little stream of water at the faucet. Then he got curious and started to drink from it. ( and ok, no big monster came out, he survived. ) But like Bubbles....he would just peck and go " Ok... I'm done! " Eventually with time and patience he started taking actual sink baths, but he's a bit spazzy with it as I noted. I think he's just still getting used to it.
I could never do greens in water because all he would do is eat them.
( & still does. He can't focus on bathing with greens around. ) He always liked misting though.
One thing that helped was having a mirror around. For some reason that inspires him to bathe and he acts like he's showing off for the mirror budgie.
We will continue to "practice" our bathing.
It's really interesting how some never like it, some will do it joyfully immediately at the first chance, or, like Bubbles & Biz, others have to warm up to the idea.
Congrats again that Bubbles came around to enjoy a bath. It suits his name
