Default Introduced Tundra and Tiki :) Tundra keeps wanting to be fed by Tiki?

So after weeks of them looking at each other through bars I introduced Tiki (our 2 year old boy) with our new baby Tundra (4 months old).

Immedietly Tiki pinned his eyes, fed Tundra, then tried to mate with him!! I broke them up. Then things settled down. They ate veggies together, walked around together and generally liked each other.

My question is, Tundra keeps going for Tiki's beak trying to be fed again. Is this because he's younger? Or is this wanting to be a fed by Tiki a friendly male bonding thing?

Thanks!

I'm glad their first meeting went well, even if there was a little more over-enthusiasm on Tiki's part. Once they start to spend time together more regularly, their behaviours will settle.
While your Tundra is young, he is not a chick begging for food, so this is more of a form of affection between two budgies who have instantly clicked upon first meeting. Your boys are well on their way of becoming best buddies.

At first I wasn't sure why Tundra was opening his beak towards tiki (though maybe aggressive) but soon after I realized he was trying to hook beaks with tiki. thanks for clearing up why he is doing this behavior. That's cute to know
