Default Weird noises?

Hey everybudgie! My Callisto is settling in pretty well I think, but she started making weird noises. It sounds like a cross between eating and squeaking. I know that she isn't eating though. Is this normal? By the way I do make clicking noises to her a lot, so could she be trying to copy those?

From your description, Callisto is beak grinding.
Budgies (and other species of pet birds) will grind their beaks (by looking at the beak, it seems like they are chewing something when in fact they are not) when perfectly happy and content, this is usually seen when they are about to take a nap or sleep for the night.

For confirmation on this, you can go to YouTube and type "beak grinding budgie".

Thank you so much! I was worried. This is my first budgie and I want to make sure that she was OK and that I was doing everything right.

You're very welcome! You are certainly on the right track because from the beak grinding you can assume that Callisto is perfectly comfortable and satisfied.
