Default "Barking" (Demanding?) Budgie - What is this Noise?

The other day, Biz landed on my phone & stared at me and made this barking noise:
AUDIO: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d4n47xul33...20028.m4a?dl=0
That's an audio file because, since he was sitting on the top of my phone, I couldn't film it.

He has done this before but it's been awhile... here's a video clip of similar behavior from awhile ago:
VIDEO: https://www.dropbox.com/s/h1ibt0veqn...10738.mp4?dl=0
Although, if you listen to the audio... he sounds a bit more mad there.

Any insights?

He did this same behavior the following day, and he kept looking down at the screen of my phone and I thought maybe he wanted to hear the budgies that come from the phone (he loves Instagram videos of other birds) & I started playing them and that seemed to make him happier.

I call that noise "scolding" when my budgies make it.
Generally mine do it much louder and more forcefully than Biz. Biz is much more polite in his scolding.

Biz is either letting you know he wants your attention or he wants you to do something...
only you can determine what that "something" might be though.

Haha... "scolding" is a good description. If only I could speak budgie.

Interestingly, I gave him some seeds thinking maybe that's what he wanted since he doesn't get much of those... but that wasn't it.

I thinking he wanted attention of some sort. Probably from both me + the Instagram budgies.

I've realized he likes it when I play the budgies, and he will stand on my phone with one leg, looking very content... pretending like me, the video budgies & Biz are all a flock together.

(What's also funny is he likes certain video budgies much more than others.)

Thank you for checking out his antics.

The sound is a type of call that can mean several things but I don't see in the context of video, a scold but instead a feeling of "rambunctiousness"
and playfully looking for interaction. That's what I hear and see
from the video. Phil

Haha that is a very common sound in my house It's one of Hermes' favorite noises to make and Izzy often joins in more often than not. Sometimes he'll be so loud it actually hurts my ears. Your Biz is definitely more of a gentleman by being quieter

Mycroft does that noise to his favourite toy - it's like he's saying come on play back! Loved the video

Tommy makes that sound *all* the time.
He just seems to be excited and enjoying himself flying around the room, or being with the other budgies.
As mine don't interact with my much, it's never a 'I want you to do this' sound for me and they eventually work it out themselves.
