I searched for threads but couldn't find one related. I called the vet and pet store, they weren't very helpful and I couldn't show them a picture.

My birds are acting normal but holy moly they lose A LOT of feathers. I just want to make sure it's normal! I have 4, and it's like a constant flow of feathers falling.

Please let me know if normal or if vet visit is needed. All 4 are losing them. Thanks

The birds have no bald spots and do not appear to be molting.

What you are seeing is normal molting. Nothing to be concerned about.
Just because you don't see pin feathers on their heads doesn't mean they aren't molting.

I have seven budgies downstairs and I'm vacuuming up feathers twice a day right now. (To say nothing of the two budgies and three lovebirds that are upstairs!)
Everybirdie in my house is molting -- it's that time of year.

Thank you so much for quick reply! I didn't know that. I learned something new! Now that I think about it, there has been a recent increase. I'm glad it is normal!
