Default sleep time behavior?

Recently i've noticed my budgie Zephyr's been doing this at bed time. Before he would always sleep with his best friend he shares the cage with but now he's always on the walls of the cage just standing there. I even go to touch him sometimes and he moves his head a bit to see what is touching him then ignores it and is just staring off into the distance or something. Anyone know? It's even at the point he'll just stand upside down like a bat.

I posted some pictures of him doing it on here: https://imgur.com/a/AB4d2

His friend Layla however just sleeps on the swing every night like they've been since the start.

Many budgies like to sleep in positions that humans find very strange.

As long as your budgie is active, eating, drinking and pooping normally and you don't notice any breathing issues, then don't be concerned about the positions he chooses to sleep in.

Okay, it's just weird cause i've never seen anyone or animal that sleeps while holding themselves in the air
