Default Monty won’t stop calling all day everyday

Monty’s started doing a really loud call all day everyday, she won’t stop! She’s completely shredded her cage sheet as well. I thought at first that she might be bored so I bought her some new toys and rearranged her cage but it hasn’t helped at all. The only time she’s quiet is when she’s sat with me, which is lovely but not practical as I don’t have all day to sit with her. She’s never on her own completely as Percy is in a separate cage next to her and my family are at home with her all day. Is there anything I can do as it’s starting to get quite annoying and I don’t want her to be unhappy or bored

Does she have kabob shredding toys? If she's shredding the paper in her cage she might enjoy those. You can try playing soothing music; I use Native American flute music. Also, I'm wondering if she is in breeding condition, or about to be. It could be hormones. You could try limiting her to 8 hours of light a day and see if that helps.

Thank you fo your advice, she’s got plenty of shredding toys up in her cage and I don’t think she’s in breeding condition (her cere’s just gone from tan to a light blue) I’ll definitely try the 8 hours of light, I hadn’t even heard of that! She’s been moved upstairs so she can look out of the window and so the rest of my family can sit downstairs without being screamed at by her

Keep in mind that budgies are much like children. If you give them attention with they scream, then that encourages them to scream when they want attention...
Perhaps if you give her a specific amount of out of cage time each day when you interact with her one-on-one and then put her in her cage to entertain herself, she'll learn that she'll get attention without having to scream to do so.

Leah's suggestion of limiting Monty's daylight hours to no more than 8 hours per day is also excellent and using music to help entertain her when you aren't in the same room with her is always a good practice.
