Budgie Posture
1 Attachment(s)
I realised my baby Fluffy (about 2 month old) stand fairly straight unlike normal budgie. Is it normal?

He's adorable! Yes, that's fine, budgies have different preferred standing positions, like humans ;)

I agree with Starling Wings
Fluffy's posture is just fine.

Why do you have a nest box in the cage?

Thanks all for your precious feedback!! I got another cage with older budgies and the nest is for a pair of budgie. I was putting Fluffy at my main cage to monitor if he is being accepted into the flock.

Your Fluffy is adorable :). They’re all individuals, and like any animal, they will have their own uniqueness and quirks. Some individuals have them more noticeable than others.

Please read through the link above from FaeryBee. It’s important to remove the nestbox now.

Please remove the nestbox from the cage immediately.

Before breeding any species, it is important to learn as much about the animals, their personalities and the best practices to follow for responsible and ethical breeding prior to making the commitment to take on the responsibility. This requires extensive research and an openness to continual learning.

Budgies do not need to breed to be happy.
Breeding is not something to be entered into lightly and you need to have a very strong background in keeping budgies before ever making that decision.
