Hello, I have a female budgie who squeaks for no apparent reason, I checked the cage and there’s nothing wrong. The other budgie she’s with is just happily chirping/singing and she squeaks like there’s something wrong. I know they are loud birds but she full on squeaks for no apparent reason. She seems very healthy so I’m not concerned with her health.
I'm having the same occurrence. It doesn't bother me because I like hearing my budgies talk, but while Mab will squeak and sing, Titania will remain totally silent for long periods of time and then just lose her mind squawking like she's being murdered. Again, I don't mind the noise. I'm just worried she's trying to tell me something important and I'm too dense to get it. Is this normal behavior?
As long as the bird is not in any distress, it is normal. As FaeryBee has said, some birds just like to make noise. Two of mine love to listen to themselves squawk, I wish I could speak budgie, I would love to know what all the fuss is about.
