Default Weird Behavior

Today is a lazy Sunday so I put out Mercede's playground on my nightstand and we watched TV all morning. He was pretty interested and TV and was grouchy when I put my hand near him so I left him alone. Later on he was eating and dropped his seed. I pick it up and gave it to him and he started doing this weird chatter and tapped his beak on my hand for a while and acted like he was gonna regurgitate on my hand. He stopped after a few minutes and then flew off his playground and started running around flapping his wings chattering which was super unusual for him. He then ran to my hand and I put him back up on his playground and he chattered until he fell asleep. I was just wondering if this behavior is apart of his hormonal stage or not.

He could have seen something through a window, he could be in a good mood, it could have to do with hormonal behavior, or not. The main thing is that he’s acting healthy .

Keep in mind too, that budgies (animals) just do a number of things that we human pet owners don’t understand. Unless one is a biologist who studies behavior of a species, we can never know 100% of their actions.
