Default Budgie's obsession with the mirror

Hello,

My budgie seems too obsessed with the mirror and has been feeding himself in the mirror's reflection.

He sometimes also fed on my finger while I was playing with him in the cage.

Should I take away the mirror? It was his favourite toy though.

As I've attached the picture, the bottom of the cage were all the seeds he has disgorged.

Yes. Please take the mirrored toys away. They can eventually lead to frustration and unwanted behaviors. Constant regurgitation to the mirror, aggression, as a result of surge in hormones.

Also, for long term foot health, it’s best to add natural branch perches. A good selection of safe, untreated wood branches can be purchased on the internet.

I agree with RavensGryf 100%.
Please remove any/all mirrors from your budgie's cage. Provide swings, shredding toys, etc. instead.

Best wishes.
