Default Budgie randomly waking in the night?

So my little buddy flint is molting currently, since he started i noticed slight behaviour changes with i expect are normal, but ive noticed he seems to randomly wake up in the night, rather jump to the bottom of his cage for a few seconds and go back to his swing to sleep, or he'll start climbing around, go back to sleep after 20-30 seconds.

is this normal? is there any reason for this to happen? the closest i can find online is night fright, but he doesnt seem to be freaking out exactly.

Are you up and making noise when this takes place?
If so, he may be responding to the sounds you're making.
How many hours of sleep is Flint getting per night?

Since he's only awake for a short time and goes right back to sleep, it isn't anything you need to be concerned about.
I believe many animals awaken during the night periodically.
