I have 3 male budgies: Lemon, kiwi, and blackberry. They would get along very well until around March blackberry and kiwi would be so aggressive with Lemon and would fight him over everything, even food. I tried separating Lemon with a travel cage for a bit since I can’t get another proper cage for them. During that time he would constantly want to go back with his flock and the same with the other two. The weird this is that even though they fight, I turn my back for one second and they’re feeding each other and being affectionate. I love them all equally and they know that, I’m just not sure why they do this or what to do.
You need to make the effort to get a proper cage and separate Lemon from the other two.
You can then give them supervised out of cage time together so they can play.
Ensuring Lemon is not being bullied on a regular basis is important.
