Default Flock call

Hey everyone,

My budgie has recently started making a lot of mating calls, and its quite loud

I am considering getting him a friend, but I am curious how much noise would the both of them make.

How much do two budgies mate call?

The noise that 2 budgies would make is mostly chattering between themselves, the flock calling would mostly be if one was out of the others sight and they would call to one another to locate. It sounds like your bird may be calling for you for attention. If you decide to get another bird it would be best to get one the same gender as the one you have so you do not need to worry about unwanted mating, also remember to quarantine any new bird for at least 30 days to make sure there is no illness present.

Two budgies can be quite loud.
It isn't necessarily a matter of them flock calling to one another, it is more a matter of chittering and chirping loudly.
