Sometimes with liver issues the ability of the blood to clot normally is effected, maybe that is the case with him and the reason for the excess bleeding. Hope everything is ok and he can come home tomorrow.
He's home! i have to give him 0.04ml of Hepatosyl (a liver support supplement) once a day for a while via syringe in the mouth. he has a hormonal implant put in for his other issue. and they also supplied me with some reference material to help me try convert him onto pellets (which ive had trouble with) and even threw in a small sample of a brand they recommended me.
he was very happy to get back it seems, within a minute of getting in the car his face was pressed up against the cage wanting me to stroke his head/cheeks.
Little update for everyone. he's acting his old self again. hes eating fine. i'm now trying to at the vets recommendation try a new method for converting him to pellets and it seems to be having some mild success already. it seems the worst of it is over for now at least.
