So, I cycled a long way on a very cloudy, cold, rainy day to pick this guy up. It took me a while to find the place, but the budgie chirping guided me!
Then, after handling me this tiny chick, I put him on the fauna box, carefully padded with cloth and a warm water bottle for added heat, and then cycled all the way back home, as fast as I could, since it is SO cold today I feared for the chick's life.
But, even if the water bottle had lost its effect, the chick was still more or less warm. The pictures (and video) are taken when he was on the heating pad, slowly regaining the warmness before going back to the fauna box, as I didn't want to toss him without making sure he's warm.
Raising temperature slowly, he perks up and gives me that sassy look, so I venture to give him some love (youtube link).
As you can see, he still has some crop and I've seen him poop once. I'm keeping an eye on that and as soon as it's empty I'll give him the first feeding.
I'll keep posting pics and videos of him/her as he/she grows. Wish me luck with this little baby!
