I hope everyone has had a wonderful day with their loved ones, be it human or cherished companion of every kind. I know I have. My pets have had a wonderful day and my bunny and birds have all gone to sleep early this evening. The birds have had their out of cage time today as well as the babies for a few minutes to stretch their little legs. They sure are determined to start walking and using their feet at 11 and 8 days old they are just too cute. I am a bit late in posting these but all the same I cannot help but post pictures. Oh and for those of you that have seen my post about Apollo who loves to play in and with my yarn as I crochet, I have found the photo I was looking for. So without further ado, here are some more photos
One of the oldest just has to move aroundBottom corner, peek-a-boo Figured out wing functionI love this photo, this one is quite photogenic as you can see in the next photo or two
Not sure how the colours will turn out on this little one but I am so excited to see once the pin feathers break through
The youngest, 8 days old, this little one is still trying to figure out his feet. He thought he defeated all odds and sat on his butt with his feet out I wasn't able to snap that picture but I am sure all of you would have enjoyed it, use your imagination
Mommy and her babies Ok, not to panic, the littlest one has his head tucked under the older one's wing. He was just fine
3 fuzzy bums all lined upI tried to get as close as I could to that you could see the difference in the colour of the pin feathers between the two oldest babies. If you can see it, it would be slightly in the tail pin feathers
I know this is a lot of cuteness to take in but it is so worth it. Not many of my friends can appreciate this as much as everyone on here does. They just think, "They're just birds, get over yourself." I don't need that kind of negativity in my life. I'd rather share with people who understand my passion anyway. I think I have convinced my hubby into keeping them. Because my hubby has a bit of a belly on him (this I don't have a picture for) he had the three babies hang out on his chest. He was sitting in a such a way that the babies wouldn't wander far and if they went to close to the side he would carefully and gently move them back to the middle. One of the oldest ones was cuddling with him a bit, it was my "awwwwwwww" moment. Brought so much joy into my heart these little babies have. It's just so amazing and a rewarding experience.
I just love baby animals, I'm glad they all are healthy and happy, they will be gorgeous adults for sure Someday I hope to raise a clutch myself, but for now I just adore watching the silly awkward babies
and Princess Mallorn!
Thank you to Deb for her wonderful Faery magic
