I am afraid I fell in love head over heels today and had to have this baby. I'm afraid he/she flew into Windows before I could stop it and he/she has a sore cere as a result. A very tame baby that lets me pet its head or anywhere. I'm not going to clip this babies wings seeing as he or she is so tame so fast. How do I prevent this baby getting seriously hurt? I drew the blinds now so if he or she hits them it's softer than the window. My hearts so sad to see the cere so hurt. Pics coming

Such sweet babies

Oops sorry

Is this baby a he or she ? Any name suggestions?

Why do some pics say missing image

Probably not clear enough

No doubt love-able handsome little violet opaline cinnamon male

Normally in first time out of cage time in new surroundings budgies do crash in walls and windows

When they know their terretory its different so covering glass and big mirrors is good

To me, the budgie on the first set of pics looks very much like a female.
The sky blue normal budgie I'm not able to open up the pics attached and can't have a good look at the cere.

A friend said today he also by photos thinks the violet budgie is a girl they both are already really close even budgie kisses just inseparable. It's very sweet.
My friend said if they were both boys they would be at opposite sides of the cages but that doesn't run with me as they are both babies and I would think that they would naturally bond this young surely despite their sex? My experience is limited though only having had one budgie before now and he was amazing a boy called Danny and a great talker.
Is it possible to have two budgies and have them bond as well to us their human family?

I've managed to have both budgies eating millet from my hand then later a cracker and some seeds off my hand too so my hand should start featuring as not a bad thing soon. It's so good to see them each day progress but my blue budgies skittishness may be rubbing off on my tamer younger one, they are both happy and sing to each other so that's good right?

From those last pictures, your violet cinnamon opaline budgie appears to be male as well. Both males, one male and a female, and less commonly, two females, can form very strong bonds and share kisses and preening sessions.

Yes, it's very good they're singing and active If they seem to be too skittish to tame at the same time, usually it's better to tame them individually. You can move one budgie to a separate cage to work with them, so their sole focus is you and not the other budgie.

As for name suggestions, I think the little purple one should be named Thistle, Winchester (if he turns out to be a boy, Chester, or if it turns out it's a girl, Winnie) or Titan (if it's a girl, Titania)

Here's some more name suggestions if you'd like to see them!
