What are the full dimensions of the cage... width, length and height?

Minimum size for 2 parakeets should be 30"x18"x18"
(Volume = 9,720" cubic inches)

and if you look through the stickies there are lots of linked threads with really good budgie care information

Heres a thread for the essentials to a great cage https://talkbudgies.com/showthread.php?t=31719

I hope this helps

I hope its a 12 by 14 FOOT cage. Try to feed them veges with whatever your seed is. Use your treats sparingly. Use millet or tiny bits of veges to train and tame. If they are not tame already. If you just got them let them adjust a little and settle in before bombarding them with love. Read the stickies and post some pics. Congratulations and good luck.

Try to get them to eat fruits and veggies (I'm still working with mine on that - they're very picky). My four love to take baths, so a bird bath is a great thing to have. And toys that can be shredded/chewed are a favorite around here.

Have fun with your little flock!

To keep them happy and healthy I recommend getting them checked over by an avian vet, feeding them an adequate diet, providing them with the nutrients they need, and giving plenty of stimulating things to do. Budgies love to shred and destroy natural toys!

Many budgies are reluctant to eat fresh foods and tend to be seed junkies however you can get some greens and put a little water on them. They will roll around in it and eat it. Fun and healthy!

Welcome to tb, I'm sure you'll love it like me ()

As for tips, well, if your bird's a seed junkie get him on pellets with fruits and veggies. As for taming tips, birds are not domesticated, they are wild, and it will take some work to tame him.

Like others have said, make sure the cage is big enough. Bigger is better! And try bells, they tend to love those along with destroy toys.

Make sure they get plents of out-of-cage time! And I'll be looking for some pics soon!
