Chili says hi to her adoptive mama! She was hoping you'd see how brave she is
She does NOT want to come out at all still, but I just take her out and she's fine after that. I think the more I do this, the more comfortable she will be. She just needs to know that she's not going to be hurt. We're not going to eat her LOL The more she comes out, the more comfortable she is becoming. She tried to fly away earlier and she can't because she's clipped too short, but I called her back to me and she came! I said come on Chili! Come on! and she ran right over and climbed up the recliner and came to me! I told her to step up, and she did! she's doing great!!!!!
I know it was controversial by many whether or not to use this approach, but I really felt she was ready for this. I'm with her each day and I know how she acts and reacts to things. she really felt like she was just playing hard to get. and that she needed to see and experience it for herself first hand, that she wasn't going to get hurt by us. Just the way she was, I had a feeling this was the right thing to do. Now, up until now I didn't think she would have been ready, but I felt she was ready to come out whether she thought she should or not. I'm glad I did it, even though I didnt like this particular approach. Now, she may never be the type who goes crazy over hanging out with us, but, I want her to enjoy the company of others and not be alone all the time.
