Default Oh, my itchy head

Poor Pepito. He is going through a bad moult. Bad pics, I know, but wanted others to see so they don't think their other birds might have attacked them. that is what I thought at first, but I have tons of his feathers on bottom of cage. Wish I could help him.

Oh, poor Pepito! That must be so itchy! My budgies are going through a heavy molt too. I'm hoping for his ordeal to be over soon.

Aww, poor Pepito. I remember the first time one of my birds had this type of molt. It had me seriously worried.

Oh no, poor birdie! It looks so uncomfortable Luckily none of my birds have ever experienced such a molt. How old is he? He is gorgeous, by the way

Feel better soon, Pepito!!

So sorry that Pepito is having a bad time with his molt.

For those who have not seen it, here is the link to the article about miserable molts:

I think he is stressed over Sunny getting the girl! Sunny and Coco are getting along great. When Pepito goes over to their cage both Sunny and Coco chase him away. She doesn't want any attention from Pepito and I think his feelings are hurt. ha He is used to having his own way. He does get out to fly around with Sunny for exercise and they like that. Will have to beef up his diet and see if that helps. OR buy another bird??? Oh no!

Quinoa is also supposed to help too with the protein/calcium side of things. Moult wise.

Haha, maybe another female may help too!
