Talking first budgies! Ice and Snow!

Hi all! I brought home my first budgies today! I haven't posted in the introduction thread yet, but... here are the little birds.

Speculated male and female, Ice and Snow (from left to right)! They're not hand-fed, but maybe one day they'll trust me enough to step-up. =)

Both were scared out of their minds in the beginning, but I put on classical music, because my last parrot (a hand-fed cockatiel named Tinker) liked music. Snow was hiding in the box and wouldn't come out, but when I the music started, she immediately came out and chirped!
Ice (the male) did not react. LOL

is there any way to guess how old they are?

Aww, they're so cute, congrats!
Snow is a boy and Ice is a girl, no doubt there. I'd say Snow is quite young, it doesn't seem to have gone through it's first moult yet, so he must be around 3 months old.
They can't possibly be 7 months old, or else their ceres would be maturing by now and they both are much younger than that. Also their eyes are still fully black too, so they both can't be possibly be older then 4 months old, Ice still hasn't had her first moult from looking at that first pic on the cage bars.

thanks for the replies!

Snow is the boy? :O I'm a budgie newbie. Snow is the one with pink cere, his back facing camera in the first combined photo, and is the first photo in my second post.

As babies budgies are a bit backwards if you like. I mean that in the nicest way of course. Baby males have pinky/purple ceres that at maturity, depending on mutation, will turn a bright blue. Baby females can have a powder blue or white/blue cere that turns brown with maturity.

Both Ice and Snow are so very adorable. You have to love those big baby eyes

Sweet! Funny to know that I got the genders switched, but they're still different genders.

They finally sat together today! They're already busily jumping around, chirping, and interacting with each other. They still haven't gone near the food or water though. How long until this is a problem?

EDIT: They both just went to the bowl to eat! They're eating together now. So cute!
