Default My Tito lives on

It makes 1 year today, January 17th that my sweet boy Tito has passed away.
I was blessed with the most gentle, kindest soul for 4 years.
During my 25+ years of budgie ownership, he was my most precious and special bird I ever had the honour to have in a flock, my true birdie soulmate.

Despite not having him now, the memory of him is always present everyday and always will be. He lives on in my heart and in 2 of his offspring, Tito Junior and Dinda.

And here are some pics I took yesterday of Tito's chicks who I plan to breed soon.
Tito Junior will be 2 years old on April 24th, he is a very shy and overall nervous boy, so much unlike his father. He also has no clue on how to charm his lady.
Maybe this year he will figure out how things are done and give me some chicks.

This is Dinda, she's the one who got closer to her father in terms of personality, she has the same eyes of her father too. She will be 2 years old on June 16th.

Brother and sister together

One year ago, I made a promise of breeding Tito's offspring to always keep his lineage going, because they're birdie royalty in my book. Since Tito junior seems clueless on the mating department, I may just let him be and put all my bets on Dinda. My main goal is to produce a budgie with the exact same colours of their father. Tito was a light green greywing opaline budgie.

This is the place my Tito was put to rest, on a little corner in my house's front yard. The yard has a real grass carpet and many flowers, unfortunately the flowers on Tito's grave aren't in bloom due to being Winter time here.

The broken tiles mark where he was buried.

And this is my dearly departed Tito

Rest in peace my sweet boy, until we meet again...

A lovely tribute to your special boy Aluz , both Tito Jnr and Dinda and stunning and I hope one of them will give you chicks soon.

I know exactly what you mean when you say Tito was your birdie soul mate, I feel lost mine when I lost my Speedy. May they be happy flying high together and waiting for us somewhere special, the tears are never far away.....

What a beautiful tribute to your special boy Aluz... He is Beautiful and so are your Cute Babies as well.. I also no exactly what you mean when you say Tito was your birdie soul mate.. Buster was mine when he left me it left a hole in my heart. I no that Buster is up there in Heaven playing with his budgie friends from TB.. The tears are still there.. But Buster is out of Pain now for a little budgie to have cancer is not good it is not good for a human either... I have loving memories that i treasure he is with me in my heart. Just like Tito is he is in your heart remember the loving memories and hold them near you they are very special.. We will never forget out loving budgies that came into our lives they bought so much joy and Love to us..
Tito is Beautiful.. You could put Tito in a nice Photo frame and hang him on the wall where he will be with you all of the time... I have one of Buster on my wall in the Rumpus room...
Tito your are a very Special Budgie and you had a wonderful Owner who loved you so very much.... You will always be remembered. Just like my Buster. Buster and Tito are playing up high in the sky singing a beautiful song... They no that we loved them so very much...

Thank you so much, Sarah and Lyn for your words of comfort and understanding. I really appreciate it and know how heartfelt they were and it is good to think all our precious boys are playing happily on rainbow bridge till the time comes for us to be reunited with them.

Oh Aluz what a special boy he must of been, I can only say words to you, I hope they bring a little comfort to you on this special day for you.
I do know he was loved and looked after to the best of any humans ability .When these little birds come into your heart they do so unconditionally and you Aluz returned the same to your dear Tito. Fond memories forever but today a special tear. Fly High Tito you were and are still a very special budgie to your dear Aluz.

Thanks, Cathy. Today is a particularly difficult day to me for obvious reasons, but I feel instead of letting all the sadness flood in, I must instead be thankful for the 4 wonderful years Tito has given me.

Even though he was a lost baby stray that I rescued and nursed back to health after being attacked by a dog, he was the one who saved me in the end.
He never failed to brighten my darkest days and the reward I got from him was beyond anything I would expect.

All 3 are truly lovely. It's strange and wonderful how, like our human soulmates, we sometimes find such a strong bond and connection with animals. I have found and lost a handful of these, 2 of my dogs, Lambsie and Kit, my horse, Gamble and sweet little baby budgie, Azure. No matter how much I love all of my animal friends, each of those touched my heart and caused far too much grief when I lost them. I feel a little empty without them in my life much in the way that I'm sure you do with Tito. Unfortunately their lifespans are short and as hard as it is to say goodbye, we're better for having them in our lives.

Whether by reincarnation or the afterlife, I feel certain that we will meet them again someday

Fly high and free Tito

Thanks Allie.
It is true that when a special and very beloved pet leaves us, a part of us go with them.
And I know for sure that I am a better human being because of my pets.
