It makes 1 year today, January 17th that my sweet boy Tito has passed away.
I was blessed with the most gentle, kindest soul for 4 years.
During my 25+ years of budgie ownership, he was my most precious and special bird I ever had the honour to have in a flock, my true birdie soulmate.
Despite not having him now, the memory of him is always present everyday and always will be. He lives on in my heart and in 2 of his offspring, Tito Junior and Dinda.
And here are some pics I took yesterday of Tito's chicks who I plan to breed soon.
Tito Junior will be 2 years old on April 24th, he is a very shy and overall nervous boy, so much unlike his father. He also has no clue on how to charm his lady.
Maybe this year he will figure out how things are done and give me some chicks.
This is Dinda, she's the one who got closer to her father in terms of personality, she has the same eyes of her father too. She will be 2 years old on June 16th.
Brother and sister together
One year ago, I made a promise of breeding Tito's offspring to always keep his lineage going, because they're birdie royalty in my book. Since Tito junior seems clueless on the mating department, I may just let him be and put all my bets on Dinda. My main goal is to produce a budgie with the exact same colours of their father. Tito was a light green greywing opaline budgie.
This is the place my Tito was put to rest, on a little corner in my house's front yard. The yard has a real grass carpet and many flowers, unfortunately the flowers on Tito's grave aren't in bloom due to being Winter time here.
The broken tiles mark where he was buried.
And this is my dearly departed Tito
Rest in peace my sweet boy, until we meet again...
