Fred is slowly but surely feeling more confident about life at our house. He's started coming out of his cage on his own, perching on the side, climbing up to the top or even flying out towards me (not so good at landing yet tho!). He will come out to eat as well which I think? is a good sign of him feeling relaxed.
This morning he had a nice long play with his little girls
The pictures aren't the greatest - I don't want to frighten him with my flash gun and there's not much in the way of good light today. But still he's cute as a button We're getting more chirps from him as well!
He'd jumped from the footstool to her, then up her shirt and right into her hair - we couldn't see him at all! He popped out from behind her head and I got a snap and we all laughed at him, which only egged him on and he ended up perched on her head for ages.
I've really been trying my best to let him settle at his own pace and not send him backwards by pushing too hard. He's taking positive steps forward almost every day.
Thanks you guys ... He's been coming out regularly yesterday and today. This morning he rubbed his head on my nose (he's still got pin feathers). He quite likes to burrow in hair or under a hood. Which is fine, unless I've only just washed my hair in which case I find him somewhere else to sit
