I really cannot tell you ... the gratification when I watched him eating. I took a bite of mine (I was next to him on the sofa), he ate his. I watched him from the corner of my eye but didn't dare pick up the camera until he stood back from the bowl.
I really am so so chuffed. He's had a busy day today, out of the cage, chirping to youtube videos, playing with the kids, watching the rain on the windows. I've not had the best couple of days personally, so this just topped it off for me.
It was the leftovers from what didn't fit into my ice cube trays lol His normal offerings are much smaller, one cube in the morning, one at night. Plus, like I mentioned, his regular seed and treats. Once he's regularly eating mash I can gage how much he needs and adjust it.
I'm just so happy I've cracked it and he's eating fresh food, even if I waste mountains of it, it's worth it!
Thank you Daisy I really am over the moon It seems like a little thing, getting them to eat fresh foods. But I like to give all my animals the very best diet I can, so the fact that he finally gave in makes me feel really glad I persisted
