I'll be quitting my job soon, and that means Iris and Ivy get to come home with me! I'm so exited to have them here full-time, I'm working on setting up our spare room/office for them, since it's the only cat-proof room in the house. (It's a loft, so the office is actually the only room with a door on it...)
I brought my phone out at work today and snapped a dozen photos, only a few of which came out usable. Ah well, soon I'll have lots of photo-ops!
I'm amazed at what good friends they've become. I was leery of having two females, and they did go through an extended period of irritable bickering, but they're so close now.
Iris preens Ivy's face every evening. I almost caught her at it here, but not quite.
Ivy's blue bum is showing! She is mostly the loveliest dove grey I've ever seen, but the patch of feathers over her rump is vibrant blue! I love it!
Lovely birds! Yes, it's annoying when you take heaps of photos and the subjects always seem to move at the last minute (well, mine do anyway!). Looking forward to seeing more of them.
Yes! I have lots of pictures of blurry heads and tails as they move out of the frame!!

Them and me both! It's been fun having them at the store, and using their cage and diet to educate customers about feeding/caring for their birds properly, but I think they will enjoy the quieter atmosphere at home more!
