Default The things they do..

Here's some goofy pictures I've captured of our flock that I thought you'd all enjoy.

Tinker Bell might be small but she has big attitude (Spruce on the right)

Wattle and Cloudy Jay, literally hanging out.

Haze has food stuck to his face

Pearl loves playing in the spray when I wash the aviary

Medley likes to play in the spray too but this particular day she fluttered to the floor, too wet to fly and then waddled behind the rabbit's cage to hide. I scooped her up and put her up here on the trampoline and she sat there with this look on her face for a whole hour! I think she's mad at me.

Fancy a Biscuit on a stick?

Or a Yin Yang

They've decided that the slinkies are prime sleeping holes, at night it's a race to see who gets one.

Yin Yang

Arctic in this one

Olympus

Looks like Jade or Topaz' fluffy toosh

Tea desperately wants to join her BHF Olympus on the swing

Hi! Any room for me?

Nope? Well I'm coming on anyway

Nimbus just casually leaning on this chain...

with Shade

and then Spruce..

That darn toy is the reason for the bright green feather stains in some of the pictures

Jade and her "sister" Topaz like to sleep in strange positions, they have ever since they were babies. They are of similar mutation but not related in any way (or are they?) and are inseparable. Strange!

Glacier likes to squeeze up into the rafters and take a nap

Cameo thinks it looks like a good place to sleep

Yin and Pindo would rather sneak up there to make out

Fern and Willow, Fern's cere stained green from that pesky loofah toy. Maybe she was a blue bird before I bought it? I can't remember.

Look at CJ's tummy on the right! Haze on the left looking at him like he can't believe he'd let his feathers get in such condition.

Raindrop isn't able to fly well yet, she struggles to make it up to the other birds so she likes to follow our little aviary bunny, Chinchompa, around and steal his veggies and drink out of his water dish. Right before I snapped this shot she was preening his lips but I wasn't able to capture it

Woah you're big..

But you sure smell perty

Thanks for looking!

Oh my gosh! Those photos are all awesome!!

I especially love the one of Olympus in the slinky, and Raindrop with the bunny! I think your bunny is bigger than either of my dogs

Awesome photos! It looks to me on the first picture that Tinker Bell is lifting her tail feathers in excitement as if she wants to mate, at least that's what it looks like from that angle. Mine all do that accompanied with pupil dilation and their little forehead feathers puffed up.
That pic of Raindrop with your bunny is so sweet, maybe next time you will get one of her preening him.

Absolutely amazing pictures! My favorite is Nimbus with Shade on the swing, though it is hard to choose with so many cute ones. Why can Raindrop not fly? I hope she gets to...

Thanks! Chompy's not as big as he looks in that picture. I think he's meant to be a mini lop but he has a very large head so I think he's probably a bit of a mix

Tink is such a bossy thing, she kicks everyone off of the toy, food, spot on the perch that she wants but Spruce was practicing his flirting skills with her at the time of the photo and she seemed to be into it. She's a bit young for him though considering she's not even 4 months yet
Rain is spending less and less time with Chompy as she gets stronger at flying so I'm afraid I probably won't get the opportunity again

Thank you. I love taking pictures of them, they are so pretty and animated.
Raindrop came from a show breeder and hadn't left the breeding cabinets yet so she didn't have a chance to practise her flying until I got her. Because she's show type, her feathers are very long and fluffy and she's going to be a big girl when she's fully grown which doesn't help her lack of aerodynamics. She's getting better and stronger every day though

Yes I've seen her climb in, she's very determined about it and it sags terribly LOL
Haze is one of my favourites, I can't wait to see him all grown up, he will be stunning.
Sir Percivale is still in QT, he's doing really well though I will take a billion pictures once he breaks out
