Happy Friday Friends!
It was last Friday that I last held my beloved Lily and said good bye, and I want to thank everyone here again for extending your beautiful respects to her this past week. Her passing has no doubt left a big void in my heart since, but I know she is now at peace in eternal birdie paradise. I like to just pay a little tribute today in appreciation to my other budgie princess, Betty, who has blossomed into a fine young lady during the past few months.
I brought Betty home last December during the week before Xmas. She wasn't the prettiest girl at the store, but what caught my attention was her liveliness and inquisitive demeanor. She just had a very nice aura and was the perkiest bird in the cage. LOL, it was very amusing to watch her bury her head into the seed dish several times like she was digging for some lost treasure, and she was the only bird doing it! She was also the calmest bird of my flock for a new arrival. She didn't always step up so willingly at first, but she didn't get nervous or evasive either when I reached for her. She did allow me to rub her head and enjoys it very much.
Whether for birds or people, I'm one who gravitates more to those who have strong personalities and character over physical beauty. Therefore, I honestly favor Betty over my other girl Princess Sheryl. As you can see by her recent pix, she has also blossomed in that regards.
She has filled-up to be a fine Missy
She's always on the new ladder and loves to be up above!
Betty also loved Lily
LOL, Betty and Princess weren't the best of friends. She never provokes Princess...but she wouldn't be bullied by her either!
And she never refuses a head rub from daddy
