I don't post here nearly as often as i should, especially since i know Pip has a few fans out there but honestly, nothing ever exciting happens!
I think i will post updated photos into a big photo spam every so often to let you all know whats been happening
The birds are doing great, Eating their veggies and enjoying new toys when i grab them from work (perks of working in a pet store is a 40% discount
They really like the ones that are shreddable + i found a really cheap shop (Enfeild pet and produce, they have more variety then we have at work) that i go to every so often to get some
I sprouted some beans for the birds, after about 5 days i had an entire jar full of ones that are even growing leaves
I chopped them up really fine and added it to their regular veggies mix thats in the freezer (which reminds me i need to do another veggie run, they are almost out!
I also bought a cheap boing to add to their bird tree i made them.
Pip finds it easier to perch on the rope it so i un-wrapped it from the boing shape and twisted it around the branches to add extra places for him to sit, He loves it
Its hard to get a front on photo due to the sun placement (it makes everything look dark) but here's a side on photo instead
Heres some Pip photos
Poor little guy is moulting so much, just look at all those pin feathers
(Typical budgie though he doesn't like head rubs, hes very stand off-ish
When Pip sits/ walks on the windowsill he likes to put one foot on that little gap behind him, He can't get his toes stuck but he must like it because he can keep himself from sliding around, its funny watching him waddle along it keeping one foot on the rail
And of course his best friend Penny is always around
(kinda a front on photo of their tree)
Sitting on daddy while he plays playstation
(it makes me so happy knowing that my partner has bonded with Pip. He comes home and before he even says hello to me he talks to Pip
My partner wasn't really bonded to Penny so it makes me smile when i come into the living room and Pips nibbling his stubble and being naughty and playing with his necklace)
Big boof head, honestly sometimes he looks like an English show budgie
I do need to clip Pips nails though, they are growing quite long.
I am so scared though because his toes are TINY and my partner is afraid to hold him while i clip them, Usually my mother helps with Penny's nails (she holds him and his foot and i hold each toe and clip the nails) and we are usually done in 5 minutes MAX, But because Pip is so little, his feet are sooooo small that two hands holding his feet/ toes doesn't allow any room for the nails out to be clipped
Heres a photo of him after standing all in his veggie mix, but you get the idea.
In any case, both birdies are very happy (and spoilt) and i hope to bring you more adventures of the little ones shortly
