Default Cage Setup Idea for 2 budgies

Photos of my cage setup for 2 budgies. I bought two Petco flight cages for my finches and budgies. It is a great size for both. They are stacked and I used clear zip ties to connect them securely. I use manzanita multi branch perches and rope perches. They do use both. The best table to place them on that I could find was my night stand. It was the perfect size. I secure the doors with safety pins because of my little children. Hope this helps others.

Nice set-up April. Your birds should be very happy in their pretty blue cages!

The cage is awesome! Your budgies will be loving it. Its lovely and colorful, as well as being big.

I hope you don't mind me pointing out a couple of potential problems and a suggestion. You see those unravelled tassel pieces of rope? They are potential hazards for your budgies feet in getting caught up, possibly breaking claws or worse. With the unravelled pieces, you also need to keep a hawk eye on them and the rope perches for any sign of budgies chewing them. The rope perch issue, for me is that I do not have them. Others do. You need to watch your budgies carefully for any sign that they are chewing their rope perches. The reasons why are in this topic: https://www.talkbudgies.com/showthread.php?t=146370 . I am only pointing it out so you can make an informed choice on the rope and what appears to be leather that the budgies can access.

Have you thought about putting a few things in the lower part of the cage for them to use? Little budgie safe pieces of branch that they can chew up and have fun with?

I love how you put two cages together and made it much bigger ... Clever!
