Default He's taken over my workspace AND my margarita glass

Found the margarita glass on sale - thought it would make a clever bath for Spec, but was worried he might be afraid of it, so put some food and his surrogate buddy in to introduce. He was not the least bit afraid and considers it HIS. I'm not sure how that's going to work out when it has a margarita in it! Sticky, lime-flavored little boy!

Sweet pic! and a great idea for a bird bath.

Make sure you have lots of lime/lemon slices for Spec to surf on.

That's quite a fancy bath for your Spec, surely he will enjoy it immensely if he is already into bathing. And if not, maybe his toy friend can encourage him to try it out!

I was giving him showers every other day, so water shouldn't be a scary thing for him ... though it may take him some time to start bathing... most of mine avoid bathing like the plague... that's why I just myst them until they are soaked ((cause they love it))

Well, we'll see if his little surrogate budgie can induce him to actually 'dip his toes' in the water. He's already 'rolling' in wet grass with his little friend, so an actual water experience might be the next step. If not.... misting and rolling are good.

You could try the leaf bath.

Put some fresh lettuce leaves or the green tops of carrots in the dish add some water or just mist the leaves with lots of water.

He will probably end up bathing all over the leaves rubbing himself and having a great time. They catch on pretty quick about bathing if you offer different options.

Nedra,

Spec looks like he's totally enjoying taking over your workspace.

And, what was that you said about it being YOUR margarita glass

I don't think so!! Spec has laid claim to it and says he isn't sharing (except with his little surrogate buddy friend)
Since the little buddy has already shown Spec how to roll in wet grass (or veggies) I'm sure Spec will find bathing with him
in the glass to be loads of fun! I can't wait to see those pictures.

GREAT picture -- I totally enjoyed it.
