We have just bought a budgie on Saturday and have been trying to work out whether he is a boy or a girl but are continuously changing our minds. Right now he is called Alfie but if it turns out he's actually a she, we have decided on Millie. I was wondering if anyone could help?

It is not the best picture to be identifying sex. Ideally we need a face on shot done with no flash in a natural light. Flash and lighting can play tricks on a camera that makes males looks like females and vice versa in a picture.
With that is mind, I am guessing your he is actually a she. A bluish tinge to the cere and white around the nostrils are indicators for a female. She is very pretty.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about your budgie and hopefully seeing more pictures of your little cutie soon!!
Welcome to the forums!
Your new budgie is gorgeous and looking at the cere, I see an overall purplish colour (can't see any white), so based from that photo I'm pretty sure you have a budgie boy there.
